A foundation with a purpose

Every child deserves
a place to thrive.

A safe classroom. A book to open. The essentials to arrive ready to learn.

Someni Afrika Foundation is dedicated to improving learning environments for children in rural African communities. Our mission centres on the everyday conditions that make education possible.

Our approach begins with listening to schools and communities, understanding their priorities, and inviting partners to help shape practical support.

Our vision

Opportunity begins
with education.

A future where every rural child in Africa learns in a safe, equipped, and nourishing environment — unlocking their full potential regardless of background.

Our mission

Make the everyday
essentials possible.

To conceive and create conducive learning environments for rural learners by rehabilitating school infrastructure, providing school uniforms, bags and books, and delivering daily school meals. We do this to remove barriers to education and enhance learning outcomes for children in underserved communities.

Our objectives

Five priorities for rural education.

01

Improve Learning Environments

Rehabilitate and upgrade rural school infrastructure to create safe, dignified, and functional classrooms that support effective teaching and learning.

02

Remove Material Barriers

Provide learners with school uniforms, bags, and books to ensure they attend school prepared, confident, and with equal access to learning materials.

03

Address Nutritional Needs

Deliver daily school meals/lunch programs to reduce hunger, improve concentration, attendance, and overall health of learners.

04

Enhance Learning Outcomes

Through improved facilities, resources, and nutrition, measurably increase literacy, numeracy, and retention rates among beneficiary learners.

05

Promote Equity & Inclusion

Prioritize children in rural, marginalized communities facing poverty, limited access to services, and other systemic barriers to education.

Our planned approach

Start by listening.
Build together.

Meaningful school support begins with the people who know the school best.

01

Listen to the school community

Understand the needs and ideas of teachers, families and learners before defining a project.

02

Agree on a practical plan

Identify priorities, resources and responsibilities together with schools and potential partners.

03

Learn and share as we grow

As initiatives begin, we intend to document our work and share updates grounded in what has actually happened.
